Back at It — And Introducing "Inspired(ME)"
It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update, but I’ve spent that time working on something that feels incredibly meaningful to me. I’m honored to introduce my newest body of work: inspired(ME) — the start of an ongoing project that holds a special place in my heart.
At its core, inspired(ME) is about connection — about creating space and visibility for women in the art world, and for people who might simply consider themselves "just normal." These are not celebrities or public figures, but real women with ties to Maine — women whose stories, presence, and strength deserve to be seen and celebrated.
The first eight portraits in this series will be on display at Ellard Studios (formerly Downtown Handmade) on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. It feels especially fitting to debut this work in the heart of my own community, where so many stories quietly unfold every day.
This project is about more than portraits — it’s about honoring the often unseen paths we walk, and creating a visible story about women who have inspired me to be my best self in one way or another. My hope is that inspired(ME) sparks moments of recognition, belonging, and encouragement for women in art, for our communities, and for anyone who's ever felt that their story isn’t worth sharing.
The show will be up starting next week and will run through mid-July. I’ll be there for the opening during Lewiston’s Final Friday Art Walk on June 27th, from 5-7 PM (the full event runs 5-8 PM) — I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and experience the work in person.
Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and for following along as this project continues to grow. This is just the beginning.
